Baby Food

Today, Brandy and I made Jackson his first baby food!  We made sweet potatoes. I will be making all, or most, of Jackson's baby food.  I am also thinking of switching to cloth wipes when I run out of disposables. I got my order from Amazon this morning with my new pail liner; no more trash bags for his diapers-yay! I can't believe he will be 5 months old in just 8 days; time is flying by! I am still loving the cloth diapers, as well. Just got another package in the mail; spare pail liner, disposable diaper liners (for on the go and until I get a diaper sprayer), and some Grandma Els diaper rash cream.

Cloth Diapers?

 So we have decided to give cloth a try. So far we have 18 diapers in our stash. We have 2 fuzzibunz, 1 babyland,8 baby city and 7 lovely pocket diapers.  So far I like cloth a lot. I have managed to only have one leak and I think that was my fault I used a newborn insert instead of a regular one.  If we continue to use cloth I will have to have a diaper sprayer, his peanut butter poops are just to hard to scrub. (tmi?)  I am also thinking about  making his wipes cloth as well when I run out of disposables.  A lot of people say you get what you pay for when buying generic diapers like baby land and baby city but for someone on a  budget they seem to do the trick, I have yet to have a leak with them ( my only leak was in the fuzzibunz) Also just a update on Jackson he now weighs 14 lbs and is the happiest baby I know. We also go our first pair of baby legs!

Introduction!

So this blog thing is all new to me, hang in there I'll learn. I think? I'm gonna start off with a introduction. I am Jessica, I am a mommy to Jackson and wifey to James. Jackson was born on Dec 3rd 2011. It was the best day of my life, I have no idea what I would do without him. I became wifey on June 6, 2010 ( close second to best day ever). Jackson is 4 months old and the best thing to ever happen to me. Being a mommy is the most amazing thing ever. I do photography as a hobby and to make some extra cash. Be prepared to see lots of photos of Jackson.
